Everyone who has ever had a dog knows how many wonderful and happy moments they bring into our lives. How good it is to come home and see how your furry friend greets you. And after all, they absolutely do not care who you are, they are always happy to see you back. Becoming the owner of a dog, it is difficult not to feel love and respect for these animals. It is not surprising that dogs are so popular in cinema, many films and cartoons have been made about them and with their participation, such as Lady and the Tramp, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, Hachiko: A Dog's Story, Lassie Come Home and others. Why are dogs so special to humans? Probably the most important reason is that dogs have a rather rare ability for animals to recognize human emotions. They understand human body language even better than chimpanzees. One glance is enough for them to understand what a person feels. They are even capable of empathizing with people, feeling the same emotions as their owners. In general, dogs are very emotional animals, they have a fairly large range of simple emotions, such as fear, anxiety, interest, pleasure, and so on. However, dogs can also experience a some more complex emotions and feelings, such as love or jealousy. Their body produces the hormone oxytocin (the same as in humans), which is associated with the ability to express these feelings. At the same time, dogs do not feel guilty. Many owners notice what they consider a 'guilty look' in a dog, but science has shown that in fact it is a reaction to the owner's body language, the pet is just worried that it will be punished, not knowing what it did wrong. A special uniqueness of the emotional sphere of dogs is their attachment to people, which determines most of the dog's behavior. They can also show emotions and feelings that they don't have at the moment to attract a person's attention. For example, a dog may smile or simulate pain to convince its owner to show it his love.
