The Stock Exchange Palace is located in the center of Porto beside the Church of Saint Francis, which was damaged by fire. The hall is covered with an octagonal glass dome, under which the coats of arms of many countries with which Portugal maintained trade relations at the end of the XIX century are placed. The Palace is an impressive example of neoclassical architecture, and in 1996 it was included in the World Heritage Sites list by UNESCO.
