Cheetahs, although they cannot boast the same strength as lions, but they fascinate with their mobility and elegance. Their slender body and long legs help to overtake the victim in a matter of seconds, and it's not surprising that previously they were often used instead of hunting dogs in the East and Asia. According to BBC Earth, the highest recorded speed of a cheetah is 61 mph/h, which the animal reaches in about 3 seconds. It's also an interesting fact that while running, almost half of the time the cheetah spends in the air because the length of its jump reaches 23 feet.
